America, I called you.

America you were once a great and noble nation, filled with the love and compassion of Almighty God.  What happened?  In some respects nothing, in others everything.  We still have pockets of devotion to the God of the Bible.  For the most part the church has ducked itself inside the basement of the church building and decided to hang on, waiting, and hoping for change.  Jesus told us to GO and make disciples.  The church, the blood bought church needs to wakeup, get a voice, and move out into the streets and government and schools and retake this country for the Lord Jesus Christ.   We unfortunately have in this country the government that we deserve.  Evil and corrupt.  The majority has spoken, lies over truth, ( Isaiah 59:14) immoral mandates over righteousness (Isa. 59:7) lacking of prayer for the sins of the nation (Isa 59:16).  I am not throwing stones, I am as guilty maybe more so than many, because I see where we have fallen and where we are headed.  God help us!  Will you join me in prayer for the world, especially the compromised church, and evil governments and those who are of the anti-Christ spirit.  May we return to Biblical Christianity and ask Jesus to forgive us and wash us in His Blood,  Time is short,  what we do we must do quickly!

God of this World

What is going on today?  Why is it that everything that is the opposite of what is true and moral seems to be the normal.  Why is it that even in this country false religions get a pass on everything and the truth of Christianity is being systematically viewed as a bigoted and foolish idea.  Why is it ok to murder unborn children for the sake of convenience?  Why is it that our news media is more concerned with who is up or down than giving the people the truth?  Why are we racing to a one world government with slavish consequences? 

II Corinthians 4:2 gives us the answer.  The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel.

   There it is in a nut shell.  Satan has caused his followers to do his bidding.  They are blinded to the truth and follow a lie instead of truth.  I have had discussions with people who are so blinded they couldn't begin to hear what is said much less to be able to comprehend what I was trying to convey.  That is why so many times what is done is the opposite of what would truly make things better.

We as Christians must stand for what is right regardless the consequences.  Fight the good fight of faith.  Earnestly contend for the faith.  God is not dead nor surprised at the calamities of this world.  The answer is Jesus.  We must become Christlike and live as if there will be no tomorrow.

Salt and Light

The Bible tells us we as Christians are to be salt and light to this evil world we live in.  Salt is a preservative, but when there is an open wound, salt burns.  Sometimes our life of "salt living" causes this relativist world we live in to burn and feel pain as they see us living as Jesus.  Light is the opposite of darkness, and when the true light of the Gospel is shone into this world, some tend to shield their eyes.  When one goes from darkness to bright light, it hurts.  So it is with those in this dark world.  This may be the reason that sometimes our life brings not blessing, but pain to those around us we witness to.  They may not be ready for the stark contrast we present to them.  Keep praying and let the salt preserve and the light within you shine.  The Holy Spirit will do the work needed.  If there ever was a time in history for us to be different in our lifestyle and pattern of conduct it is now.  God Bless!

The Good Sheperd

Shared on this subject last Sunday night to our group.  The Lord is my shepherd, that phrase denotes ownership.  Does the Lord "own" you?   He has done all for you, including giving up his life to redeem you back to God.  The Lord cares for us as a shepherd cares for his sheep.  Feeding, and protecting the flock as well as providing a peaceful environment for the sheep to reproduce.  Do you respond to his direction?  Do you follow the leading of the shepherd, or does he have to drive you?  If the shepherd owns you have you given all you have to him, or are there areas of your life that are off limits to his authority?  We must become sheep before the Good Shepherd of our souls and allow Him to lead, guide, and give nourishment.  Psalm 23, The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want.  Are we utterly content with Jesus?  Paul wrote that he had learned to be content in whatever situation he was in.  Are we that way?  Is contentment in Christ our goal?  Sheep feel most content and safe when they are near the shepherd, are we?

The End of All Things are at Hand

Last Saturday morning I had this unusual peace about what is happening in the world today.  For the most part I get fired up and am ready to fight to the death for the cause of Christ.  But for some reason last weekend I had this overwhelming peace and feeling of absolute knowledge that God has everything under control and is allowing the world's powers to be played by His hand.  I even felt excitement at the fact that I am alive at this time and that I will be a small, very small part of seeing the end times play out.  What is happening now is nothing more that revealed prophecy being played out.  I have no clue to what might happen next but I know that God is alive and in control, and that Jesus is coming very soon.  Just think what it must have been like to be alive when Jesus lived, how great it will be to be alive when he steps out of heaven and takes us home to be with him forever.  You and I can make it.  God will by his Spirit give us courage and grace to not only survive, but prosper.  Peace like a flowing river.  May the God of peace give unto all that read this a peace that surpasses understanding.  Courage as a lion, and hope in the blessed Christ!

Syria

Well time has passed and no attack yet, but one could still come.  This is not a prophetic statement, but in my opinion if we hit Syria, then Israel will be attacked and depending on the severity of that attack, a response could start an escalating of hostilities to a major war.  WWIII?  Russia has Syria's back, and a new player called China could also enter the fray.  Both have condemned and tried to bully and use their influence in the region.  Hang on to your seats this could get very interesting.  Ezekiel 38 tells us of a war among the middle eastern countries along with a large nation directly to the north, called Gog or Magog.  Russia is directly to the north.  Putin doesn't like our boy President and is not shy about saying so, so things are very tense and could become a wide scale conflict ushering in the end of this world.  At least the beginning of the end. How bad do the Saudi's  want war?  They seem to be willing to pay for it.  What an exciting time to be alive!

God is still God!

Mark my words God is still in control of this world, and nothing that happens is a surprise to the Lord of the Universe.  We may see tumult and chaos, but God always knows the beginning from the end.  I sincerely believe that what is happening today is being played out our according to God's timing.  In the Word is says that God raises up, or allows evil to get control or rule so He can show his great power.  Beware to those who think they rule, God is the ultimate ruler.  Stay humble and seek the Lord and all will be well with your soul.  The Lord loves his people and will always be with them even to the end of the world.  Lord I pray a blessing on your people.  Love them and protect them and give them a voice to not only represent you in this world today, but stand firm against evil.  May they be one in the Spirit and rejoice in your comfort.  Ephesians 6:10-18.

Well another day and another crisis in the Middle East.  Wars and rumors of wars will dominate our landscape for the next several years, just as it has for the past few years.  The Arab spring so touted by our leaders has become the fall of discontent.  Iran has or will have soon nuclear capabilities, Egypt is in chaos, Libya as well, now Syria.  As always if you live in the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel, look up rockets will fall on you as well.   Civil war, not to mention a holy war is dangerous and unpredictable.  What do we do as Christians, we pray and hope that hostilities will cease.  They won't.  People call for peace, it won't happen.  This is our world, and it isn't pretty.  When mankind decides to ignore and even deny God's existence, the world denigrates into a chaotic place.  Sin is the problem.  Solve the sin problem and you will solve the world problem.  Simple yet profound.  What will happen in Syria, don't know for sure but Biblical prophecies could be about to be fulfilled.

Sitting here watching my 4 month old grandson.  Wow they are so precious.  Makes me wonder why anyone would ever want to harm a child.  Looking at a small baby is the one great proof of God.  Don't even get me started on abortion, how anyone could kill an unborn child.  Anyway children are so funny and loving, why can't we all be that way.  Thanks Lord for kids. 

Hatred

The world, at least a large and growing part of the world hate us.  Jews and Christians are the root of all evil that befalls the world.  All over the world the nation of Islam despises all other religions but their own.  They spew hatred and terror at every turn.  In this once great and God fearing country any one who is moral and believes the Bible to be true is looked upon as a narrow minded bigot.  Why is this the case?  Because the end of the world and the rapture of the Church is at hand.  If you listen close you could almost hear the footsteps of our Lord coming to get us.  Many times people ask me what is going on and why is there so much fear and war and hatred?  It is supernatural!  The devil knows that his time is short and the evil that is inspired is of a particular venomous nature.  Our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against evil ruling powers and principalities of an unseen and evil spiritual kingdom.  We must fight or lose.  Compromise is not acceptable, all out war has been declared and all out victory is the only recourse we have.   Being lukewarm and filled with compromise will not bring victory.  It is time to be warriors for Jesus and take a stand against evil at every turn.  If we don't fight, we will be over run.  If we fight, we must fight to win.  Take no prisoners.  Remember pray, and as you pray know that the same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the grave dwells in you.  Where two or three are gathered together in His name, Jesus will be in the midst of your.  Stay under the covering of the blood and pray like never before for the Day of the Lord is at hand.

We must never be silent

We must never be silent as long as evil is present.  Too long Christians have kept quiet about their beliefs, and allowed the anti God crowd to rule the day.  I will not be silent anymore.  We sit in our churches and wait for Jesus to come and get us.  I will not be silent when evil is spoken as good and good as evil.  I will not be silent when Jesus is mocked and good decent men and women are ridiculed and called homophobic because they don't believe in an alternate lifestyle.  I will not be silent when precious babies are being torn limb from limb because of convenience.  I will not be silent when my Lord's name is blasphemed.  I will rise up and fight.  Our fight is not with flesh and blood, but the evil powers that reside in a fallen world.  We must shine as lights in the midst of a warped and diseased world.  We must never be silent.  Our voice has power.  We are children of God and heirs with Christ Jesus.  WE MUST NEVER BE SILENT.

More Proof

Do you realize how small the nation of Israel is?  Further proof that the God of the Bible is in control and will protect the tiny nation of Israel.  Surrounded by enemies that wish to drive her into the sea, and nations of the world who blame her for all that is wrong in the world, Israel still survives!  Any other nation without God's protection would have been destroyed long ago.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and those who do will be blessed in return.  Israel is mostly a secular nation, however God has sworn to protect her and He will.  God cannot lie.  America has always helped to protect Israel, but now with our present administration distancing us from them, we face the real possibility of fighting against God.  Israel is not a problem, but those who wish to destroy her are!

Revival

It is time for revival.  Revival by its name means to awaken or pull out of a stupor.  America is drunk with greed, lies, and sex sins.  Our political system is broke, our finances and our economy is on life support.  Our morals are in the sewer.   If there ever was a time for this nation to wake up and move back toward God it is now or never.   Not a popular message, but a timely one nevertheless.  It is time to rebuild America and that means, I think, only a move of God's Holy Spirit will save us.  Prophets and true men and women of God know that now is the time.  Let us pray together for an awakening like never before.  I am believing for conviction to fall upon this nation so that we might see once again souls hungry for Jesus.  Will you help me pray?  Lord send a mighty outpouring of your Spirit!  Lord we confess our sins and collectively ask you to forgive us and change us into your image.  Lord show us our failures and sins that we might ask your forgiveness.  Heal our land and forgive us and change us into new people.  Holy Spirit fall on us!  Lord Jesus we need you and ask you to drive evil from our door step. 

Creation

Last night as I was relaxing the tv was on one of those travel or geography channels.  They were doing underwater exploration and the pictures that were being taken were absolutely astounding.  As I sat there my thought went to those who believe in evolution.  How can anyone not believe in a creator God?  The fish were exotic and the coral and shapes and colors were breathtaking.  Ok back to the point.  All this under the ocean where almost no one could see the beauty, but God made it and put it all there.  I, in my times of imagination, can almost see the Lord sitting back with a smile on His face.  Look what I made.  The Bible says that all things were created for Him and by Him.  I look at nature and the wonders of this universe and I KNOW there is a creator.  Romans 1:20 quoting from the Phillips translation says:  It is not that they do not know the truth about God; indeed He has made it quite plain to them.  For since the beginning of the world the invisible attributes of God e.g. His eternal power and deity, have been plainly discernible through things which He has made and which are commonly seen and known, thus leaving these men with without a rag of an excuse.
It is not people don't know there is a God, they just want him to be their king of God.  It is not a knowledge problem, it is a submission problem.  Thanks Lord for what you made and sustain!

Keep your eyes on the Middle East.  At times it seems things are quiet there but behind the scenes something is up.  Iran is closer to going nuclear and there is no way Israel can let that happen.  Our frail government responds by looking the other way, (shameful) and giving money and arms to the Muslim brotherhood.  Our once proud and freedom loving country has been hijacked and we are a bit player on the international scene.  By the way Putin and Obama don't get along.  It seems that our socialist leaning President can't make up his mind on anything and is allowing Israel to go it alone on Iran.  God help us and the rest of the world.  The time is now to get right with God and ask for mercy and protection.  The world could explode at anytime.  Get ready to fly!

The Word

I love reading the Bible, it gives me so much confidence and encouragement.  I systematically read the word and study in topics and other ways.  However sometimes the most encouragement comes from taking my very old KJV that I have had since the 80's and just thumbing through it.  It seems that every page has notes and underline and marks of some kind.  It breathes, and I can feel the Holy Spirit as he reminds me of past victories and even past sorrows.  I feel life jumping off the pages and the words are comforting and revelation just pours out.  It is also encouraging as I read the notes of revelation God has given me and realize that I was dead on with some of my notes.  Encouraging to know the Word never changes.  It is just as real today as any day and will be so in the future!  I challenge you to get deep into the Word and breathe in life.  John 1:1 declares that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was God and the Word was with God.  Breathe on us from the pages of your holy book O God.

Do your remember seeing the old cartoon with the haggard looking man holding a sign that says, "The End is Near"?  Gets a little old at times doesn't it. God has given me a desire to warn people about the nearness of the soon coming of Jesus and the rapture of the church, but it does get a little tiring.  This morning I was thinking about that and it seemed the Lord gave me a thought, for the Christian it's not about the end but the beginning!  When the Lord comes or we go by way of the grave, it is just the start of eternity with Jesus!  Wow what a thought, so from now on, at lest I'll try, it's not the end, but the beginning.  I'm going to get my sign post out and write a different tune on it.  THE BEGINNING IS NEAR! God Bless, and get ready to fly.

Forgetting the Past

Those of us alive today are living in perilous and troublesome times.  So much is going on and fear grips even the most Godly of us all, however God is not surprised by anything and if you are alive now, God KNOWS that you can handle whatever is coming our way.  We have been appointed and ordained to be alive at this time in human history.  Think about that!  God chose us to be here and live at this present time.  The days may be dark but the Holy Spirit will give us all we need to conquer the coming days.  Roman 8:35 ask the question “Who can separate us from the love of God?”  In the next two verses the Lord tells us that nothing will ever separate us from God’s love.  Not life or death or principalities or powers, not even something in the future.  Think about that next time you feel fear or anguish over the trouble brewing.  God is not dead but fully alive living within us by the power of His Holy Spirit.  Even so come Lord Jesus!  Get ready to fly!!

The blood that we in America have shed has caused a separation from God.  Ezekiel warned Israel in the 22^nd chapter that Israel had become guilty because of the blood they had shed.  America has murdered millions of babies and set up idols for it’s own pleasure.  Now we in America debate homosexual marriage and we also allow surgeons to destroy God’s creation by hacking and cutting on bodies of men and women who flaunt themselves at God, and determine He made a mistake in how they were made.  Men desiring to become women and women changing their bodies to become men.  See what God has to say about that in the first chapter of Romans.   Verse 5 in Ezekiel also says that Israel, because of sin, would be mocked near and far, and their name defiled, and be full of tumult.  What a perfect description of America today.  God will never let a nation, no matter how good in the past to shake it’s fist in God’s face.  Nations all across the globe have thumbed their nose at us demanding of us money and then  calling us a great satan.  Within our border we have tumult and chaos like never before.  Our Congress and news media only stroke the fire.  Truth is not important only how good is the lie and how can we change the agenda to what best fits the humanistic, one world dominating government that is the ruling class in Washington D.C.  God help us as we march down the road to oblivion and destruction.  Does anyone who reads the Bible really think God will forget our sins and let us go on our merry way without judgment falling?   IF MY PEOPLE…  We must plead with God for a revival and a true move of the Spirit from Heaven.  God will expect an accountability from this once great nation.  Lord forgive us, and heal us.  2 Chronicles 7:14

Happy 4th!

Freedom is wonderful.  When our founders came to this country and established government, it was to be for the people and by the people.  What a great idea.  Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  In that was also a desire to found our country on religious freedom.  Thank God for America, it has been a shining light on a hill for generations.  We have always been the first to respond to a natural disaster anywhere in the world, give billions to help rebuild, and promote freedom and opportunity.  Thank god for American and please Lord let your grace and mercy be with us.  God shed your light on us.

How reassuring is that verse, when we feel at our lowest, or in the midst of trials and troubles or confusion, Jesus has His thoughts upon us.  He is already making a way of escape for us.   Doesn't matter if our thoughts are on God, he still remembers and comforts and protects us.  Many times I don't know what to pray so I just tell the Lord, thank you for all that you do for me when I don't even know it!  He is God and his love and peace is for everlasting and eternity and beyond!!  Thank you Jesus for the blood.

Characteristics of a Church.

Little things

In the midst of all the world's chaos, it's nice to have family over to visit.  Sometimes it's really the little things that make a difference.  I am so blessed by the Lord, he has been very forgiving to me and has blessed me with a great family and friends.  Just had family over for the night, cooked a big breakfast and visited.  Last week we were on vacation and visited with old and dear friends!  God is truly wonderful.  Thank you for your blessings Lord.  Sometimes I forget how important the little things are in this busy world.  Forgive me Jesus and make me a better person.

War

At a time of absolute uneasiness in the Middle East our president has decided to back rebels of the Islamic faith.  America who has been at war since 9/11 has decided to fight for the very same group who killed more than 3000 American citizens.  We are backing one faction of Islam against another faction of Islam.  Anyone else think this is a bad idea?  Time is running out as wars and rumors of conflicts are raging in the Middle East, and don't forget the big bear from the north, Russia. Biblical prophecy is being played out right before our eyes.  Ezekiel 38-39, Psalms 83, Matt. 24, Luke 21.  Israel becoming at nation in 1948 was the beginning of end time events.  Last days are here, do what we have to quickly, for time is short.  GET READY TO FLY.

As a final note Iran may send 4000 or more troops as well to this conflict, now it is spreading fast.  Look up.

Altar of Confrontation

Do you know there are times the altar is confrontational?  Many times as we lay out our burdens or our bondage on the altar there is a confrontation.  Good vs. evil is always a battle.  Life is sometimes a battle, but if we know Christ, we will win.  In I Kings 18 we see an altar of confrontation.  King Ahab and Jezebel did evil in the sight of God, and time came for the ultimate confrontation.  Elijah inspired by God proposed a challenge.  We'll go to the top of Mount Carmel and decide who is God once and for all.  On one side was Elijah, the other side 450 prophets of Baal.  Elijah proposed to see which God would answer by fire.  He let the prophets of false god Baal go first.  Nothing happened.  Elijah made fun of the prophets and asked why their god didn't answer with fire and destroy the sacrifice apon the altar?  After several hours, it was Elijah's turn.  When he put his sacrifice to Jehovah God on the altar, he poured water on the wood and the offering.  Not once, not twice, but three times.  The water soaked the wood and filled a trench beside the altar.  Soaked with water, Elijah called out to the one true God.  The fire fell and in verse 38 of I Kings 18 the sacrifice and the wood was consumed, and the stones were turned to dust, and the fire also licked up the water!  When the people saw it they fell on their faces and worshipped God.  Then Elijah took the prophets of Baal and destroyed them.  That is exactly what  we need to do when we place something on the altar of confrontation.  Kill it, don't let it linger.  When we place sin or fear or habits on the altar, it must be destroyed.  The fire of God's Holy Spirit will burn evil from our lives.  God help us to place our life and our issues upon the altar.  Lord renew us!

A Perfect Sacrifice

Jesus Christ gave us a perfect salvation through a perfect saviour with a perfect sacrifice.  The perfect altar was on the top of a small hill outside Jerusalem where the Son of God died for our sins.  He who know no sin became sin for us that we could partake of his forgiveness and gain right standing with God.  So very thankful for the love of God.  John 3:16-17 For God so loved ... the entirety of all we are and all we have is wrapped up in those four little words.  With all that is going on in this world and in our lives, it is so nice to have the peace and love of God with us.  I fear not what tomorrow may bring for I know who holds the future in His all powerful hands.  Hebrews 7:25 says that God is able to save to the uttermost those who come to Him.  Have you made that choice?

The Altar of Sacrifice

When God told Abraham to take his only son and sacrifice him to the Lord, Abraham simply obeyed.  I am sure it wasn't that simple, there must have been absolute anguish and terror in Abraham's heart.  God asked him to kill his son whom he had been promised for so many years.  At a time when Abraham had the world by the proverbial tail, God required ultimate sacrifice.  God wanted to test Abraham and try his heart.  Altars always have sacrifice on them.  When we begin to build own altar to intercede for a lost world, for our families and our church, sacrifice will be involved.  What price are we willing to pay to see the souls of men and women won to Christ?  God expected ALL from Abraham.  What are we willing to put on the altar?  Anything that hinders our complete dedication and

The Altar

Where have the altars gone?  I date myself when I mention this, but so be it.  We don't use the altars in our churches anymore.  It seems we never bow before our awesome God.  We stand, we shout, we walk and dance, but there are times when we need to bow our knees at an old fashioned altar in respect and reverence to the Almighty God  of the universe.  Altar time is humble, face in the dust not wishing to ever stand before a holy God.  I know in my personal life I have neglected the altar.  I pray and rejoice, talk to God, but something amazing happens when we kneel before the Lord.  In humility we have total dependence and honor towards Jesus and show Him just how much we depend on Him.  Every great man and woman of God will build altars.  Personal, private tear stained altars.  Let's build some altars!

America

America isn't it time to turn back to God?  We have tried it "our" way and it doesn't work.  If you don't believe me look at the problems caused by a society that turns away from God.  Rampant fear and worry has griped our nation.  Sin causes problems, we reap what we sow.  We have sowed rebellion and now we are reaping more than we sowed and later than we sowed.  Let's turn to God for the answer.  Repent, turn around and follow the Lord.  Jesus is our only hope.

We do what we want.

We live in a day and age where God's opinion doesn't matter.  Sin is couched in easy and palatable phrases, such as bondage, habits, or issues.  The absolutes of the Bible have been watered down to the point that most don't know what the Word says, let alone wanting to obey its precepts.  God is not a genie in a bottle.  God made this world all that is in it.  His rules reign.  Jeremiah 18 tells us a story of a potter who has power over the clay.  God will always mold us and remake us to remove the impurities of this world.  I value God's opinion, and in that I purpose to obey His Word. 

The End is Near

After watching the news and listening to reports of the bombing in Boston and all the other chaos that is going on in the world today, it just makes you want to bury your head in the sand.  What will happen next?  I am reminded of the old cartoon of a funny looking man standing on the street corner holding a sign, it reads, The End is Near.  It seemed a lot funnier back then.  All too real after the events of the last few years.  If you have been putting off getting your life together and putting God first, now is the time.  We are not promised one more day and the way life is now, another day could be a blessing from God.  Call out to Him, He is always waiting to reach out to you.  God is love and He cares for you, even if you have put Him on a shelf.  God is so very close and reaching out to us.  Give God your fears and your life, He can make a difference.

Terror?

Our thoughts and especially our prayers are with those who are injured and the families of those killed in the attack in Boston.  Many will ask what has happened in our country.  Sin and moral depravity is at the root of all our problems.  May God bless our nation and raise up Godly leaders to once again move this country toward God.  God have mercy upon us and forgive us our sins.

Forgive me Lord

Have you ever been in need of forgiveness?  We all have and the best part of asking forgiveness is that you feel so clean afterwards.  If someone wrongs you, and they come and ask you to forgive them, do you?  Of course most people quickly forgive others.  Do you forget the offense?  The God whom I serve not only forgives unconditionally, but also forgets completely!  God says He will put our sins in the sea of forgetfulness, remove them from us as far as the east is from the west.  If someone has wronged you, forgive them, then forget it.  If you have wronged God, ask forgiveness, then forget it and go on with your life.  God loves you! 

We are at a most critical time in our history. Let us stand together and make a difference! PRAY FOR REVIVAL!!

In Peace

Sometimes we just need to feel the peace of God in our lives.  There is such a peace that comes upon me at night just before I fall asleep.  Not sure why but it seems that is the case with me.  Just before sleep it seems that I feel the peace of God and the comfort of the Holy Spirit so strong.  Maybe it's the end of the day, or God letting me know that He has me in protective custody until the morning.  I like that, knowing God "has my back" so to speak.  Thank you Jesus!  When I wake in the morning I will praise His name.

As I have listened to the news accounts the last few days, my spirit has been stirred within me.  America our time is running short.  Why all of a sudden is there a promotion of same sex marriage?  It seems the pit of hell has unleashed a barrage against Biblical truth concerning marriage.  All of a sudden it is about minorities and fairness, not about Biblical truth.  I declare to you this day that if this nation makes same sex marriage legal, this nation will face an angry God.  We have murdered innocent children for convenience for over 40 years and God has been patient.  If we spit in God's face with this despicably lifestyle, I fear for this country.  Oh my God how far have we fallen?  My heart burns within me that this  nation would finally wake up and see the error of it's ways.  Church, wake up and set your face like flint!  Men and women of God begin to cry out to the Lord and pray that Godly men and women in pulpits all across this land would find their voice and speak out against this evil from the pit of Hell.  God will not be mocked, what was sin before, is still sin.  We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but principalities, and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  We are surrounded but we are not defeated!  Be encouraged as you read the account of Elisha in 2 Kings 6:8-18, remember those who are with us are more than those who are against us.  God bless you as you pray against evil.  Get ready to fly!

The Cross

As we approach Easter, let's remember the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus paid for humanity.  Many times we focus on the pain and suffering and the ultimate death on a cross.  Let us also remember he emptied Himself of his divine attributes and limited Himself to the form of man.  Humbled Himself and became obedient for our sakes.  Jesus came into the world not to condemn the world, but to redeem it.  Redeem means to buy back as if your were a slave, and that is exactly what we were.  Sold out to the Devil in slavery to sin and rebellion.  God so loved the world He gave...gave the most precious gift there ever could be.  God gave of Himself, of His very existence and for you and me.  Please avail yourself of this wondrous gift, a free gift that cost nothing more than our obedience.  Jesus came that we might have life and have it in an abundant measure.  When Jesus was on the cross each one of us was on His mind.  Salvation is free to us, and blessing are unlimited.  If you don't know Jesus as your saviour, pray a simple prayer, Jesus forgive me and save me!  It's that simple.  Pray, believe, and receive it!  God Bless.  Get ready to fly!

A Mighty Man of Valor

In Judges Chapter 6 we see a story of the Angel of the Lord coming to Gedeon and calling him a mighty man of valor.  At the time Gedeon was hiding from the Midianites trying to thrash out some grain to feed himself.  Gedeon expressed concern and asked how he, the least of his tribe and one of the least in the Kingdom of Israel could ever hope to break free from the bondage of the Midianites.  The Lord assured him that "SURELY I WILL BE WITH YOU!'  Isn't that all we need to hear, that the Lord will be with us.  That simple phrase should cause us to triumph in any and all situations.  What God was saying to Gedeon was that I AM THAT I AM is here.  No 1, God is all sufficient for us.  No. 2, God has all ability.  No. 3, God will perform what he says.  God further told Gedeon "HAVE I NOT SENT YOU?"  That my friends is all we need to hear, that God will be with us when He sends us out to do something.  How many have thought of a ministry that you could do only if God were with you.  The good news is that He is.  Jesus told us in Matthew 28:20 that he wold be with us always.  He is through the Holy Spirit.  Let's do something for Christ, ask God to be with you and become a mighty man or woman of valor for Jesus.   Remember the Angel of the Lord called Gedeon a might man of valor while he was still in bondage to the Midianites.  God calls those things which be not as though they are!!  Get ready to fly!

Apostasy

I. Timothy 4:1 says that "Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons."  In other words people will leave the faith and actively work against the things of God.  Not just a falling away from the faith, but trying to destroy or malign the beliefs of Christians.  As a young man I knew people who weren't Christians, but would respect our faith and beliefs.  Today there is an absolute hatred and opposition of anything that is Christian.  We are experiencing a world wide culture war that is promoting anything that stands in opposition to the things of God.  Today we are ridiculed and told we are holding back the evolution of mankind.  Old fashioned and narrow minded are the nicest things that are said about the godly man or woman.  Apostasy is the outright fighting against that which is of God or pleases God.  Listen to TV or the movies and our politicians who constantly impugn our faith.  God help and forgive them.  I will stand for Christ and do not care one bit if I am old fashioned or out of touch.  Being In Christ, means I have no desire to please this world or the things of the world.  God Bless!  Get ready to fly!!

God first loved us

God loves mankind.  How else do you reconcile the fact that God sent Jesus to die on a cross for the human race.  I am in awe of who God is, the creator of the universe wants to have a relationship with us. Jesus got many different responses when He walked on this earth.  Some wanted to kill him, others ignored Him, and others fell and worshipped him.  I want to be a worshiper.  Rev. 4:11 "You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created."  Thanks Lord!  I honor you today.

Psalms 103

This morning I read from Psalms 103, a portion of scripture that is very special to me.  In verse 3 God gives us a promise that says "He will forgive all our iniquities or sins, and heal all our diseases."  A promise we should take literally and apply to our heart everyday. In verse 4 it states the God has redeemed us (bought us as from a slave market)  from destructive.  When Jesus entered this world to save us that is exactly what He did.  Jesus took us and removed us from the power of the enemy of our soul.  Praise God for that. When we accept Christ the power sin has over us is broken by the blood of Jesus. And we are set free.  In today's world many are heading for serious problems as they ignore God and head straight for destruction.  The Word is still true today and needs to be adhered to regardless of the mentality of the world.  Two great and precious promises that should cause us to praise God today.  Read, believe, and study the Word daily!  Get ready to fly!

Thy Will be Done

Jesus told his disciples to pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  I seem to have always glossed over that phrase, but now the Holy Spirit is trying to get that phrase into my spirit.  Often we pray with no regard to what God's perfect will might be in a certain situation, rushing headlong into prayer taking for granted what is needed. Many times I "know" what is needed and just expect the Lord to do my bidding.  The Holy Spirit is trying to get me to slow down and listen to what He wants, not always my perception of what is the will of God.  When you think about it the will of God is always done in Heaven, for Christ is there and a myriad of angels are there to do his biding.  Lord is this day teach me to pray your will and Word for those in need. 

Spitting Image

Ever hear the phrase, "that boy is the spitting image of his Father", well our small group Bible study will start in March and we are going to examine that phrase.  We are looking at the book by Mark Hankins called "The Power of Identification With Christ."  Where do we get our identification from, our work, our heritage, our relationships?  To be a true believer in Christ we must learn to identify with Christ and His words.  What does Christ say about us.  What does Christ say we can do or be? Now more than ever we need the loving arms of Jesus around us.  I challenge you to read the Word and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what Christ wants us to be, how we should act and respond.  I desire to be like Jesus, to hear the Father say well done!  I'm not there, but trying real hard.

A college student I met had recently placed her faith in Christ. She described her initial life-change this way: “When I trusted Christ for salvation, it felt like God reached down from heaven and placed a new set of eyes in my eye sockets. I could understand spiritual truth!”
It was moving to hear how her encounter with the Savior brought new spiritual perception. But her experience is not unique. Everyone is endowed with spiritual sight when they trust Christ as their Savior. Yet, at times a “fog” rolls in and our spiritual vision becomes cloudy and unclear. That happens when we neglect our relationship with Him.
In Paul’s fervent prayer for believers’ spiritual sight, we see how important it is to fully appreciate all that God has done and will do for us through Christ. He prayed that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened that we “may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” (Eph. 1:18).
Each believer has been given new eyes to discern spiritual truth. As we keep our hearts tuned to God, He will help us to see with our spiritual eyes all that He has given to us in Christ.

I once was blind but now I see!

Because of Your Faith

In Mark chapter 2 we find an interesting story told about a healing that took place in Capernaum.  Jesus had began his public ministry with many miracles, this particular one took place in a very crowed house.  The house was full, so full that no one else could get in the house.  Four men came carrying a paralyzed man on bed.  They couldn't get their friend in the door, so they got on the roof and tore the rood off and let the sick man down right in front of Jesus.  In Mark 2:5 Jesus said that when he saw "their faith" he first told the man his sins were forgiven and then told the man to take up his bed and go home. 
Look at the phrase "their faith."  Jesus did the miracle partly and I think mostly because of the friends that lowered the man in front of the master.  This should encourage us to continue to pray and have faith for others.  Petition heaven on behalf of others and have faith to believe for their healing or salvation.  God hears and will respond on their behalf if we continue to pray and believe for them.  God always responds to faith.  Let's believe for a move of God.  May it be said of us that we have the kind of faith that moves the hand of God.  

God's alarm clock

Woke up at 4:30 this morning.  Heavy burden for this world and the direction it is going.  God bless those who seek your face and desire to know you.  Lord I pray for your Holy Spirit to move on this nation and break every bondage and fear, and the spirit of delusion, fear, and greed.  Lord help us to cry to you for mercy and the hope that only comes from knowing Jesus.  Lord shake every evil foundation that is not of you.  Lord you love the sinner, bring them to repentance.  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord!

Hypocite?

Ah yes that was what I was called as I stood for the truth.  I put a post on facebook about how planned parenthood was thrilled they did over 330,000 abortions last year.  I commented that was over 900 babies killed each day.  I was called a hypocrite and a hater because I made that comment.  My comment stands and I am not a hypocrite.  Maybe this lady, who I knew as a child and was raised in the church, should check out her hateful speech.  It was very shocking to me.  I guess I expect that from feminist and eastern liberal types.  Just didn't expect it from someone who knows the truth.  The world is a very difficult place for the truth.  If you don't agree with a pro death person they will attack you.  Please pray for this lady, lift her to God.  She needs help.
Please pray for the end of abortion, it is an evil that has devoured our land.  God Bless!  Come quickly Lord Jesus.

Newsweek: Obama is 'The Second Coming'

Interesting that with all the talk of Obama as a God.  Not one time has Obama himself discouraged this kind of blasphemy.  I don't believe he is, but he is definitely a fore runner to the Man of Sin mentioned in the Bible.  God help us the time is short. 

Fight or Hide

As gun debate looms large in this country it has caused me to wonder what is the Biblical response to this issue should be.  On the one hand we have a government who seems to be careless about our freedoms, going as far as telling religious institutions to perform abortions against their faith.  Killing new born babies every day of the week through lawful abortion.  Putting down Christianity, and building up secular humanism and other anti-Christ religions.  We are at a crossroads with the 2nd amendment fight.  If we allow government to take our guns from us there could be no recourse to stop tyranny in the country.  Rule of law could go out the window. 
I have contacted my state and federal representatives many times and most of the time they are sincere, but also I know that aren't going to take my recommendations to heart.  Where is our Christian response?  Do we fight, get in the streets?  Do we sit back and pray and wait for God to move?  I know before his death Jesus told Pilate, "my kingdom is not of this world, if it were my servants would fight."  John 18:36 So is Jesus telling us not to be concerned about the state of affairs of the world or governments and their evil?  How do we rationalize that with today?  If we do nothing, we know that just like prayer in the schools, abortion, the taking of Christ out of Christmas as well as scores of other issues, the Christian perspective and morality will be lost.  As well as possible the witness of the Church.  Do we hide in caves and wait for the Redeemer to come, or fight for our beliefs?  Paul wrote that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but principalities and powers, (evil spirits).  Our fight must begin in prayer and them we go from there.  I think and hope that I am right when I say that God is looking for people who will take a stand and say this far and no more.  We must draw the line and stick to it.  God help us as we discern your will for this turbulent time we live in.  Life is hard and decisions are sometimes harder.  We must take a stand, for God is looking for those who will stand in the gap,  We in the church must bring morality and revival back to the Church first and allow it to spread into the streets.  Come quickly Lord Jesus!!

Interesting article about the hate of Islam.  We are seeing a rise in Anti Semitisim as well as hatred of Christians all over the world as well as in this country.  Persecution will and already is here in the U.S.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and strength for Christians in the Middle East who are under extreme persecution now.  Especially in Egypt.

Can you hear that scream?  At times I think I can almost hear the cries of aborted babies.  How in the world has this country allowed millions of unborn babies to be put to death for convenience?  Why do we not care as much about this issue as the nonsensical issues that occupy our minds.  We are concerned about trivial problems and never get to the root of what is a disease on our land.  I remember back in the 80's as a Youth Pastor telling my kids that with the lack of concern over the death of innocents that one day we would have the discussion over killing the aged in this country.  It's here, we care so little about life in this country.  Sin is our problem it always has been and always will be.  Case closed, call it a problem, a bondage, or whatever, it still is sin.  Sin kills. We will lose this country unless we repent and change our ways.  Please help me pray for the culture of death that permeates this society.  Thank you and God bless.  There is a spirit that moves in this society that seeks to kill and destroy.  Pray against that spirit.  Remember we fight not against flesh and blood, but against powers of darkness.
