The Altar of Sacrifice
When God told Abraham to take his only son and sacrifice him to the Lord, Abraham simply obeyed. I am sure it wasn't that simple, there must have been absolute anguish and terror in Abraham's heart. God asked him to kill his son whom he had been promised for so many years. At a time when Abraham had the world by the proverbial tail, God required ultimate sacrifice. God wanted to test Abraham and try his heart. Altars always have sacrifice on them. When we begin to build own altar to intercede for a lost world, for our families and our church, sacrifice will be involved. What price are we willing to pay to see the souls of men and women won to Christ? God expected ALL from Abraham. What are we willing to put on the altar? Anything that hinders our complete dedication and
