Repair our Foundation

Psalms 11:3 if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
As I was looking at this verse I noticed at the footnote of my Bible said, what have the righteous done? Interesting twist on a familiar scripture. What have we done to keep our heritage given to us by the Lord? Have we consistently prayed for the Kingdom of God to be revealed through us and to others? Have we been intentional about our witness, prayer, study of the Word? Very convicting to me. The world is what it is today because for the most part we as Christians have failed to provide the foundation morally and vocally to impact society. Societal evolution has been toward depravity not righteousness. We have evolved toward compromise and complacency not boldness in our God. We must change our attitudes and actions to impact society. ALL areas of society. Just a thought.

Murder is a right?

My heart is grieved for our nation. After hearing Democratic politicians gleefully declare murdering babies up to and after birth a “right,” I hurt for America. My first thought is how long O Lord before judgement comes to our nation. We are in serious condition in that God will not wink at our absolute deprivation for very long. We should be judged. We as Christians have failed. We must stand and be vocal. This evil permeating our culture cannot continue. Jesus and His shed blood is the only answer. Join me in prayer. Pray for mercy, and boldness. Lord Jesus forgive me and give me an anointing to be what you have ordained me to be. Stir up the gift of God that is within me. Get ready to fly! The Lord is at hand!

Do Not Forbid Him

Mark 9:38  Teacher we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in your name, and we forbid him because he does not follow us.

At first glance it would appear this was a good thing, guarding the ministry of Jesus by his disciples.  Keeping purity if you will. But Jesus had a different approach to this, He said “don’t forbid him. He who is not against us is on our side.”  Are we able to rejoice in spiritual victories of others? Is there any jealousy or arrogance on our part if others are doing what we should be? Jesus was not worried about credit, He was concerned with doing the will of the Father.  Let’s have the same attitude, let us rejoice over victories that enhance the Kingdom of God! God is our judge and He will give credit where credit is due

I believe we have seen the enemy overplay his hand.  Killing babies after birth is not anywhere near a activity that even mildly morale people think is ok.  When the enemy comes in, the Spirit of the Lord always raised up a standard against him.  I personally think that before the end of the Trump administration, that a case will be on it's way to the Supreme Court of the United States.  If Mr. Trump does nothing else but appoints pro life judges to the Court and to lesser courts, he has done the Lord's work many times over.  This stain of death of infants must be overturned and any nation that continues in that way will have to be judged sooner or later by a Holy God!  Pray for a change of heart of death loving politicians.

I also think President Trump serves two terms.
Speak prophetically!
Declare aloud the end of Abortion!
Pray forgiveness for those impacted with abortion.
Think adoption.

Follow Me Matt. 16:24

We can take God’s presence for granted.  We assume Jesus will always be there for us always.  Matt. 28:20 Jesus doesn’t follow us, we follow Him. Following Jesus will lead us into experiences we never dreamed of.  The highest of highs, and sometimes the lowest of lows. You will be with Jesus when He weeps, stands as intercessor over a lost and dying world, feel the pain of rejection from friends and loved ones and those spiritually blind.  You will also see lives that were broken put back together. Marriages healed and restored: those in bondage, released, those mourning filled with joy. At times following Jesus is easy, other times very difficult.
Christianity at times is not easy, especially in this age we live in today.  Jesus said to take up “our” cross and follow. Are we willing to follow anytime and anywhere, lowest of lows or highest of highs we must live what Christ gives us.  That is the only way to truly follow Jesus.

Remember “You did not choose Me, but I chose you”. John 15;16

Chang the Atmosphere

In Matthew 14:22-33 we see the familiar story of Jesus telling Peter to walk on water to Him. All was fine until Peter looked down and saw what he was doing, the waves and the foaming sea.  Peter began to sink, but Jesus reached out and saved him.
My focus is on the fact we have the ability by being Spirit led and Spirit filled believers to walk into a room and change the atmosphere.  That is what Jesus does.  Peter was doing good until he saw what was around him.  We do ok until that which is around us gets into our head.  Control the situation, don't let the situation control you.  Let the power of the Holy Spirit and the peace of God control the room or problem that is being dealt with. Simple child like faith in the Jesus of the Bible will transform the atmosphere around you.  Make it God like, not flesh like.
Walk  and live as a thermostat not a barometer.  I refuse to be caught up in others chaos.

Bold as a Lion

Prayers for today

Are we Christians selfish? Is it all about us and our wants and needs, or are we concerned with others? A wise man once asked a congregation if God answered all your prayers from yesterday, would it have an impact of society or just us. I find myself wondering that thought myself. God is looking for intercessors. We need those willing to lay it all on the line in prayer for our families, our churches, our nation and the world. With what is happening in just America today is enough to keep us busy for weeks.
1. Pray for safety for our President and Vice-President, and leaders in government.
2. Pray for 2 new openings on the Supreme Court for pro life conservative justices to be appointed, and for righteous judges to be appointed in lower courts.
3. Pray for a great new Awakening in this nation. A move of God unlike any we have seen.

Faith-how?

The Bible says in Roman - faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God.
How is your faith today?  Im not talking about mountain moving faith, but just faith to meet the daily troubles.  If your faith is lacking, read the Word.  Romans 10:17 is a promise for you.  Reading the Word always builds faith and confidence in your life. Flip through your Bible and read a few passages, especially those you have underlined or highlighted.  Faith comes by hearing the voice of God.  Let Him speak to you today.  God has it under control, and He is never surprised.

Power, not Fear

2 Timothy 1:7 say God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
The only fear that should enter a Christian's life is the fear or holy reverence of God (2 Corinthians 5:10-11, Hebrews 10:31).  Fear of people or circumstances is not of God, but of the enemy of our soul.  Fear hinders us of doing the will of God.  Fear causes us to stop and question what God has clearly told us to do.  Most fear comes from the unknown.  We don't know what is in front of us, so we become apprehensive. Our imaginations magnify problems until they become insurmountable.  That is why God has given us the Holy Spirit, to see things as God sees them. Fear should not be an excuse to disobey God, or be enslaved to doubt.  Ask God to free you from fear, whether people or circumstance.  Remember we have been given power, love and a sound mind!  Get in the Word and pray, all fear will begin to disappear.  Face your fear with the Word!

The Planting of the Lord

I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and the shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit.  I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted out of the land that I have given them....says the Lord.

Sowing seed

Are we taking God's righteousness in our life for granted?  Instead of sowing holy thoughts, are we allowing evil and sinful thoughts to grow in our mind?  The battle is always in our minds.  Our Lord was crucified on Golgotha, interpreted to mean the "place of the skull".  What we will become is what we are between our ears.  Our stinking thinking or our Godly thinking.  Does enmity, bitterness, jealousy, or unforgiveness  remain in your life?
There is great reward in sowing righteousness.  How are you cultivating righteousness in your relationships so that you maintain your integrity?  A harvest of righteous only comes as we  nurture the seed of righteousness.  Let our actions be from our "right" standing with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.  READ IT THINK IT AND DO IT!  Live in the Word!  Let it become second nature to you.

Random Thoughts Part 2

Random Thoughts Part 1

We Live by Revelation

I was doing a devotion this morning and wanted to share a thought with you.
The world operates on vision.  God's people operate on revelation.  What God wants is to get the attention of His people and reveal to us what is on his heart and what is His will, for God's ways are not our ways! (Isa. 55:8-9).  When you hear from the Father, you have an immediate agenda for your life.
God's will is primarily given to us through His Word.  (John 1:1).  Take His Word and pray over it asking for divine revelation.  His Word never fails.

See Jesus

An exalted view of God brings a clear view of sin and a realistic view of self. A diminished view of God brings a reduced concern for sin and an inflated view of self. When we compare ourselves to those around us, we may feel like we’re doing pretty good. But when we see Jesus…

Happy New Year! Resolutions?

How many of you make resolutions for the new year?  How many fail in those in the first few weeks or months of the new year?  Many times as Christians we resolve to study more, pray more, or be a more effective follower of Christ.  We fail.  Jesus has a wonderful way of restoring us.  He does not humiliate us.  He does not criticize us.  He does not ask us to try harder.  He simply pulls us aside and ask us, do you love me?
We all try to please Jesus with our works, but He really wants our heart.  Peter failed at the most critical time.  Jesus just asked Peter about his heart condition.  Peter do you love me?  If our answer is yes, then our failures of the past will stay in the past.  If we truly love Him, our service for him in the new year will  be of the quality that He desires.
